Having held positions from General Foreman through to Managing Director for mainstream principle contractors, John has a proven successful track record for securing work, project planning, project administration, contract governance, construction management, and dispute avoidance and resolution.

 

John has worked within design, consultancy, contracting and client organisations giving him broad experience in the delivery of complex, prime quality and commercially demanding construction projects. 

 

Covering most market sectors from, commercial, science, hotel, leisure, education, industrial, production, and high end residential, John has a reputation for dealing with challenging projects to bring them to satisfactory conclusions.

 

John has held responsibility for multiple multi-million Pound projects concurrently of turnovers in excess of £100 million as well as sole responsibility for single large projects of values in excess of £100 million.

 

Exceptionally commercial minded with exposure and capability in all cost management functions from specification, procurement, delivery to final account settlement.

 

Responsible for administration of disputes from Adjudication, Mediation and Litigation on a successful and notable Technology Court action. 

 

Extensive knowledge of the Town & County Planning process and requirements, Listed Building Consents and constraints, Covenants imposed by English Heritage, Trusts, The Estates and Building Control.

 

Practical and hands on in approach using innovative, creative and strong technical design management skills whilst always driving to adhere to commercial constraints.
